Some frequently asked questions.... |
| |
What will happen during a consultation?
|
| |
A thorough history will be taken about your pet and the problems you are experiencing. A behaviour modification programme will be designed for you to carry out. Advice will be given during the consultation and a full written report will be sent to you and your vet following the consultation. Follow-up support will be given over the phone or by e-mail. |
| |
| Where will the consultation take place and how long will it last? |
|
The consultation will be carried out in your home so the animal can be seen in its own environment and will last approximately 2 hours. Consultations are regularly carried out in Fife, Edinburgh and the Lothians, the Borders, Lanarkshire and Angus, and also Ayrshire, Aberdeenshire and Berwickshire. |

How quickly will I see a change in my pet's behaviour? |
| |
| There is never a ‘quick-fix' for pet behaviour problems. The behaviour modification programme will have to be very carefully followed in order for you to see changes in your pet's behaviour. The success of the behaviour modification depends partly on the time and effort put in by the owner. The time taken for changes in behaviour to be seen will depend on the nature of the problem. You may start to see changes within a few days, but it could take several weeks to see major changes. |
